COVID-19 information
Following the announcement that, after Friday 20th March 2020, all Schools and Childcare settings will be closed we wanted to confirm our position in these uncertain times.
Initially we tried to stay open for key workers however it soon became apparent that the demand was not there and the few key worker families affected could find childcare elsewhere.
We took the the decision to close our doors on the 24th March 2020 until further notice due to COVID-19. This was not an easy decision that, however we have to focus on the health and well-being of our children & their families, as well as our staff & their families.
An email has been sent out to all families explaining this decision. We will have some access to emails, however please bare with us with regards to responding as we are remotely working.
We ask that you please continue to pay your invoices already sent for the Spring term and we will look in more detail over the coming weeks at what the closure means financially for parents. If the closure extends beyond the Easter Holidays we will contact you again with further information. If you have any questions, please direct them to admin@stjohnschildcare.co.uk.
We are sure you will all understand we currently find ourselves in an unprecedented situation and we are continuing to follow the advice from the Government.
We would also like to thank you all for your patience and messages of support during this difficult time.

Key Person Approach
Each child is assigned a key person at St John’s Childcare who is introduced to the child and parents before the child starts nursery. The key person helps ensure that every child’s learning and care is tailored to meet their individual needs. The key person provides a firm bridge between nursery and home life and supports parents in guiding their child’s development at home as well as helping families engage with more specialist support if necessary.
Our Vision
St John’s Childcare Vision
Our vision is to offer a home from home environment, where a child’s uniqueness is respected and celebrated and every child is encouraged to achieve their own potential, so they have the best start in life. We are committed to providing a stimulating environment designed to nurture the leaders of tomorrow. We aim to empower the child to achieve success and contribute positively to the richness of community.
