Meet the team

It might be reassuring to know that the qualities you value in a person to look after your child, are just the kind of qualities that we value too! Warmth, sensitivity, confidence and understanding are characteristics we look for and value in our team at St John’s Childcare. We believe that when you have this alongside qualifications and experience, children can truly thrive in a childcare setting.

Ensuring good staff stay with us is a priority! Building a relationship with your child’s key person will mean a lot to you whether you want to discuss teething, behaviour, potty training or just find out how they’re getting on. We believe that this relationship is just as important as the one between your child and their key person. This is why we place great emphasis on staff continuity.

Amy Cummins

Amy Cummins

Deputy Manager

Hello, my name is Amy Cummins and I am the Deputy Manager.

Having started my journey as a student working in the early years sector, I knew then this was the career I wanted to choose. I worked as an early years educator before being promoted to a senior role. Having worked in the same setting for 5 years, it was time for a change and to further my development I joined St John’s Childcare as the Deputy Manager. I was able to bring with me a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. I have loved implementing changes to the setting and being able to support the team through these. I enjoy spending my time getting to know the children and their different abilities from the Rabbit room to the After school club and helping them achieve the best they possibly can.
